What’s Happening at the Library Weekly Event Update

Local Candidates’ Forum

On Tuesday, April 24th, the library is thrilled to host a candidates’ forum for our community.  According to Brenda McLane of Hometown Media Group, “The 3 races featured will be: Wayne County Sheriff; Wayne County Council District 3; and Indiana House District 56.

The evening will feature light refreshments and moderated discussion facilitated by James A. King, and Q & A from the audience.”  Thank you to Hometown Media Group for organizing this event.  We are looking forward to hearing from our candidates!

Mark your calendars for May 16th at 6:00 pm!  The library welcomes Mike Anderson--the Dulcimer Guy.  Mike is described as “…the quintessential folklorist and musician.”    A reviewer on his webpage states that “Anderson’s whimsy and wit are always a hit with the children and parents as he introduces the musical instruments that traveled in the pockets and saddlebags of pioneer men and women as they moved across young America.  Anderson also sings folk songs, many which are teaching songs and moral tales, sprinkled with his own original music and lyrics.”
